Strategies to Achieve the Progress
1. Promote a clean, green community that supports the connection of people to each other and to the envi- ronment.
2. Reduce the amount of litter and waste through recycling and reuse.
3. Increase the amount of community grown vegetables and fruits.
4. Increase the amount of green community spaces.
5. Increase the number and availability of fresh, organic food options in Rogers Park
6. Increase participation in spring/fall community clean-up initiatives.
7. Increase the number of Schools, Churches, Businesses and Organizations that teach, promote and pursue recycling, reuse, air quality, water conservation, and issues related to community and personal health.
8. Increased teaching and re-skilling related to gardening, cooking, food preservation, canning, freezing, biking, energy consumption, urban growing, etc.
